Project Assurance Officer
Responsible for the management of the University’s estate, comprising 290 buildings totalling some 600,000m², Estates Services has an exciting opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic individual, looking for a challenging and rewarding role working in a busy and dynamic team. You will support the Capital Projects team in the delivery of University building projects with a total value in excess of £100m p.a.
The postholder will be a member of the Centre of Excellence team and will assist the Capital Projects Administrator in maintaining and improving the quality and effectiveness of processes and procedures. In particular the Project Assurance Officer will play a key role in the administration of the capital projects portfolio, programme and project management software. The postholder will become a super-user of the software, ensuring an electronic audit trail is maintained for all projects. This will include undertaking regular project compliance reviews, internal audits, quality control surveys and workshops, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators.
You will have experience of quality control and/or audit procedures, and be able to demonstrate the ability to align technological solutions with business processes. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of dealing with people at all levels. You will have strong organisational and report writing skills and the ability to manage deadlines for a wide caseload of tasks.
Experience of working in a construction project environment would be beneficial.
